Whittington's Brewery, 'From Wine, to Beer and now Cider'.

Three Choirs near Newent, Gloucestershire was founded in 1973 with half an acre of vines as an experiment. This year Three Choirs has 75 acres of 30 different varieties of vines. Our micro-brewery, Whittingtons, which started brewing in 2003 produces six different beers each year available through local pubs, regional supermarkets and our own shop at Three Choirs. Why Whittington's? the village of Pauntley near Newent has a famous son, Dick Whittington, the first Lord Mayor of London, our beers therefore are named around either Dick or his most famous cat. Cat's Whiskers being our award winning brew that is available all year round. This year we launch our brand of ciders, made from two local varieties of apple, Bramley and Dabinett, the first two are traditional, still ciders a medium and dry. Later this year will be available a Normandy style cider and our Champagne cider. An exciting time at Three Choirs with new wines, beers and ciders coming to the marketplace each year.
